Dropmyemail is a cloud-based email backup software offered by Dropmysite that offers cloud storage and Online backup software. In brief, Dropmyemail allows users to automatically backup their emails to the cloud with an option to view, migrate or restore them whenever required via a web browser.

Dropmyemail's concept was conceived by founder John Fearon. The site was launched on 1 March 2012 at Demo Asia, a launchpad for emerging technology in Singapore.
As of April 2012, Dropmyemail had more than 525,000 users, growing at a rate faster than Twitter, Dropbox and Pininterest at the same time during their launch.

Business model
Dropmyemail moved away from a Freemium business model to a Free Trial-based business model.
Dropmyemail changed their business model to provide a 15-day free trial followed by a paid account for $10 per year for a 5GB account, $20 for 10GB account and $70 for a 50GB account.
On November 21, 2012, Dropmyemail launched its business offering for SoHO and SMB with a per email mailbox price plans. They provide a 15-day free trial for 100 seats followed by a paid account for 5 seats at $99.99 per year, 20 seats at $299.99 per year and 100 seats at $999.90 per year.
The company launched its affiliate program on December 13, 2012, to meet the demands of various websites to resell Dropmyemail's service.
Technology
Dropmyemail is a web-based solution. Dropmyemail's backend is written in Ruby on Rails and is hosted on the Amazon Web Services Cloud Infrastructure. Most of the email platforms such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo etc. are supported by Dropmyemail. Users can also backup their email via IMAP or POP settings.
